Yesterday Sony released version 3.10 of the PS3 software. I’ve downloaded, updated, and here are the results! It’s very simple to add your facebook account to the PS3. You go to the Account Information page, and you enter your username and password, and you’re good to go. Screenshots of the PS3 and of the facebook status updates after the break! You can choose what kind of status updates you would like pushed to Facebook. I figured I might as well let my friends know what a dork I am, so I enabled all 3:
- Trophies (pushes to facebook when a trophy sync is done)
- Playstation Store purchases
- In-game updates (this is future functionality that current games do not support)
And then once you push to facebook, it will appear in a news feed like the below image.
So… neat! I wish trophy pushes were live, though. I don’t often do a trophy sync, and I’d rather have trophies push to my news feed as I earn them, rather than after a sync. Overall, I like!
